BECOMING A CLIENT

 Thank you for your interest in become a client with our capstone projects program!  Our clients range from small startups to large corporations, federal government agencies, and faculty researchers.  Our variety reflects the diverse interests of our students. 

EXPECTATIONS 

We expect our clients to interact with students as an advisor and mentor. As a client, you will meet with your student team about once every other week and provide your group with the information they need to solve your problem. As a mentor, you will provide soon-to-be graduates with invaluable guidance on what materials science engineers do in the real world and how they can be successful in their careers. On average, clients spend approximately 8 hours per semester engaging with students as they work on their capstone project. Clients can be off-site (ie. off campus) and could coordinate with the team by telephone or video (Skype or web conference), not necessarily face to face.
